In the west end of the city, remnants of the rapidly vanishing industrial manufacturing complex that was once the main wealth generator for Toronto and the surrounding region. I suspect that there will be more sights like this as the cost of mass manufacturing in the first world becomes too high a price to pay for any company.

Perhaps we are at the cusp of a revolution the like of which we have not seen since the industrial world crossed the steam to electricity divide.

Portrait of a Daisy

Portrait of a Daisy, originally uploaded by @ThetaState.

During Earth Hour 2009 I manged to quickly snap this wonderful profile of Daisy, an English Sheepdog, that my partner and I were looking after for the weekend. Something about the way she behaved kept reminding me of a very well mannered lady.
